What to Expect from Celebrity Skinny Shot™ Treatments

If the Celebrity Skinny Shot™ is deemed the right option for you, Dr. Keyes or one of our advanced practice practitioners will administer your first shot, as well as teach you how to administer the medication, which is done through self-injections.

The most important thing to remember about this treatment is that you will need to perform these injections routinely and weekly, which can be performed at home or in our practice if you’d prefer. It does not have to be performed in the same location every week, but you need to be consistent on the day and time. This will help increase the effectiveness of your treatment. If you notice any negative side effects, please let us know so that your dosage can be adjusted accordingly.

Once you start taking Celebrity Skinny Shot™, there is generally no need for downtime or restrictions on your daily activities, however, it’s essential to follow instructions on the proper use of Celebrity Skinny Shot™ and to monitor your response to the medication closely.

Consultation / Treatment

When you come in for your consultation with Dr. Keyes or one of our advanced practice practitioners. You will discuss your aesthetic goals and your health will be evaluated. After discussing the treatment and whether it is the right for you, your treatment plan will be created and you can begin your injections that same day. Your provider will administer your first injection and explain the best techniques and directions to follow to achieve optimal results.

Immediately after treatment

Some redness and swelling may occur at the injection site, but this typically subsides within a few hours. Most people can resume their normal activities immediately after treatment. Once you start taking the Celebrity Skinny Shot™, you’ll need to stay on it long-term if you want to keep seeing results. It may be difficult to imagine staying on a medication long-term, but it’s important to remember that it’s no different than any other drug you need to take for any other condition.

1+ Month

As you take your weekly injections, your prescribed dosage will be increased by 2.5mg each month or so, depending on how you are reacting to the treatment. You will need to have weekly weigh-ins and check-ups (either in person or over the phone) that will help determine how you are responding to the treatment.

7-9 Months

At this point, you should begin noticing some of the more significant effects of Tirzepatide. Higher doses of Tirzepatide lead to faster weight loss but can be associated with more frequent stomach side effects, like nausea, diarrhea, and decreased appetite. These side effects are temporary for most patients and can be corrected by lowering your dose if deemed appropriate by Dr. Keyes.
